The research interests of our group lie in the area of Bionanotechnology, at the interface between Bionalytical Chemistry, Molecular Biology, and Bioengineering. More specifically, ourgroup employs recombinant DNA technology to design new molecular diagnostic tools and biosensors based on genetically engineered proteins. Additionally the research of the group focuses in the design of sensing arrays for the detection of molecules in small volumes and microfluidic platforms, and in the development of smart biomaterials for responsive drug delivery systems. More in-depth information about our current research can be found on our research page.
Dr. Daunert’s recent international recognitions Dr. Sylvia Daunert received the honorary title of ExcelentÃsima Sra. Dra., Spain (top honorary title in Spain) in June, 2016.
